How to Make Smooth Idly (Andhra Style)

Ingredients:


2 cups idly ravva,
1 cup urad daal(white)
Oil or ghee for greasing on idly pan,
Salt,

Method:


1.Pick ,wash and soak the dall over night or 8 hours.






  • Pick ,wash and drain the ravva.

  • Grind the daal in to smooth paste (by grinding it can be tribles the amount)
  • Now mix the sneezed idly ravva to daal together in to a batter.
  • Do not mix the salt and kept a side for over night for fermenting.
  • Afer fermrnting idlies are ready to cooked .now add the salt and mix well with spoon or hand.
  • rease the idly holder or pan well and fill each of them with ¾ th full of batter.
  • Steam cook idlies on sym for 20 mins or until  you will get the idlt smell
  • Ater cooking you will remove the lid  and allow to cool for 1 min.(cooling is very help full for removing)
  • Use a butter knife to remove the idlies
  • Serve them with sambhar or  chutney.
  • Yammy yammy brake fast is ready to eat ,it is very healthy and lite tiffin.
