Vegetable Sambar Preparation
Ingredients
- Toor Dal : 1 Cup
- Brinjals : 4 Nos
- Drum Sticks: 3 Nos
- Bindi : 1/4 Kg
- Tomatoes : 2 nos
- Onions: 3 Nos
- Green Chillies : 6 Nos
- Ivy Gourds: 4 nos
- Carrot: One
- Bottle Gourd: Small
- Mustard Seeds: 1 T Spn
- Tamarind: 1 Small Lemon Size
- Oil : 2 Tb Spns
- Red Chilli Powder: 1 Tb Spn
- Turmeric Powder: 1 Pinch
- Salt : Tasty
- Ingredients for Temper: Mustard Seeds : 1 T Spn
- Red Chillies: 2 Nos
- Garlic: 2 Nos
- Cumin: 1 T Spn
- Curry Leaves:
Preparation/Method:
- Clean Toor Dal and Soak for 10 Minutes
- take a Pressure Cooker and Add Some Water
- Add Turmeric Powder
- Add Salt
- Add 1 T Spn Oil
- Close the Lid and Cook for 4 Whistles
- after Cooling the Toor Dal Mash Well with the Masher
- Add All Vegetables mentioned in the ingredients
- Mix Well and Add Salt
- Add Red Chilli Powder
- Cook for 20 Minutes
- Add Tamarind Juice
- Add 1 T Spn Sugar For Tasty
- Add Sambar Masala Powder (Optional)
- Inbetween Check the Vegetables By Pressing against them
- If You Satisfied with the cooking
Adding temper to the sambar
- Take a Small Kadai and Add Oil and Heat
- add Mustard Seeds and crackle
- Add Garlic
- Add Cumin
- Fry for 2 Minutes
- Add the Mixture to the Sambar
- Cook for another 5 Minutes
- Thats it Our Tasty Sambar Ready to Serve
Tasty Tip:
Serve this sambar Hot hot So that the tasty will not reduce
