How to cook Purnam Burelu


Ingredients

  • Raw Chana Dal-1 cup
  • Urad dal-1  cup
  • Rice-1/2 cup


  • Jaggery-1 cup
  • Salt-1/2 spoon
  • Cooking Soda-1/2 spoon
  • Oil-For deep Fry

Method :-

  1. Soak  Urad dal and rice for 2 hours,grind well like Idly batter add some salt and kept a side.
  2. Add chana dal and add 2 glasses of water and cook in Cooker for 4 Wissles.
  3. Mash Cooked chana dal and make powder and kept a side.
  4. Take thick bottomed Bowl Preferably Cooker add jaggery and 1 glass water and cook till lite Syrup.
  5. Add  mashed chana powder,when lite syrup came and cook on low flame.
  6. Till tight allow to cool for 5 mints.
  7. Make round and Equal Balls and kept a side
  8. Heat Oil till burn check with hand over  pan if unbearable it was the right consistency of oil.
  9. Add 1/2 spoon Cooking soda in Urad dal batter and dip purnam balls .
  10. Cover over purnam balls and drop in oil and cook till gold color two sides.
  11. Cut in to two pieces check weather purnam was well cooked and take in to paper Napkin plate
  12. Serve Hot and cool Yummy purnam burelu is ready.
