Aloo tikki;
Ingredients;
3 potatoes boiled ,
peeled and mashed,
¼ cup cilantro chopped,
¼ cup mint leaves chopped,
3 hot peppers chopped (grinded)
¼ tsp turmeric powder,
1 tsp cumin powder,
1 coriander powder,
1 tsp garam masala,
1 tsp red chilly powder,
1 tsp lemon juice,
2 tsp bread crumbs,
Salt to taste,
Corn starch or corn flour as needed.
Oil for deep fry.
Method;
1.mash potatoes in a bowl ,add all the dry ingredients and
mix well,do a taste check before making patties,take lemon size balls and press
in between hands forming a patty.
2.Roll these patties in corn flour or corn starch and set
aside.
3.finish off the all
patties.
4.Heat oil in a
shallow pan add place the patties in the
heat oil and fry on low flame till golden colour on both sides.
5.Take these tikkis in to paper napkin plate and taste with tomato sauce .
6.You can also make these tikkis and store in
refrigerator,for 15 min s and fry them .
7.Serve them with yogurt ,tamarind , mint chutny place onion s on top .
